FIX Credentials creation
To create new FIX Credentials, you need to select the API Keys Management category section, which is located on the Settings page, and perform the following actions:
Press the "+ NEW FIX CREDENTIALS" button.
IMPORTANT.In case 2FA is not enabled in your CEX.IO account, you will receive a “Two-Factor Authentication” pop-up after pressing the “+ NEW FIX CREDENTIALS” button, where you will be given the option to go to your CEX.IO account and enable 2FA or cancel the creation of FIX Credentials.
The pop-up window will appear, where you need to choose one of the following FIX Credentials types:
FOR TRADE SESSION;
FOR MARKET DATA SESSION;
Once you've chosen the Fix Credentials type by pressing on the correspondent button, a 2FA confirmation pop-up will appear, where you need to confirm FIX Credentials creation via 2FA SMS/OTP code.
Please pay attention, that after 5 minutes this 2FA SMS code would be inactive, and the creation of the FIX Credentials would be interrupted.
As soon as, the SMS/OTP security step is passed, you will need to activate the created FIX Credentials.
After confirming the creation of FIX Credentials via SMS/OTP, you’ll be transferred to the FIX Credentials Activation step. The system will provide you with the Session Name, Username, and Password. Considering Password is shown only once and only at this stage, please make sure to save Password to a safe place.
Please pay attention, that further options for immediate or postponed activation of created FIX Credentials become available only after the saving of shown API Password and confirming it via a relevant checkbox.
After enabling the checkbox there would be available options for activation of FIX Credentials:
“ACTIVATE” button - informs you about successful creation and ask you to proceed with the activation step with your account manager;
“ACTIVATE LATER” button - to temporarily skip activation step (FIX Credentials would be created but not activated). If FIX Credentials were created but not activated or if FIX Credentials have been deactivated for any reason, such FIX Credentials can still be activated further on via the account manager.
Attention! For activation of inactive FIX Credentials, you need to contact the account manager and provide the name of the FIX Credentials that are needed to be activated.
If you decide to activate FIX Credentials later you should click on the "ACTIVATE LATER" button. In this case, your FIX Credentials would be created but would need to be activated later on!
FIX Credentials deactivation
To deactivate your FIX Credentials, you need to press the "Deactivate" button next to the respective FIX Credentials.
Once the button is pressed, the pop-up window with FIX Credentials information will appear, where you will be given two options:
Deactivate - will deactivate selected FIX Credentials.
Cancel - will close this pop-up window.
After deactivation of the FIX Credentials, you will get a successful pop-up message.
