CEX.IO Prime Liquidity grants an option to properly manage access of sub-users to certain sections and perform only specific actions on behalf of the Client's account.
Thus, the account owner of the CEX.IO Prime Liquidity account can set different permissions for sub-users to perform only certain types of actions, depending on the role or functions.
Use cases:
Read+Trade permissions will give sub-user the possibility to place/cancel orders and check the trading and funds transfers reports.
Read+Funds Internal & Funds Wallet will give your finances department the possibility to allocate funds on the sub-accounts or to transfer 'em between CEX.IO Prime Liquidity and the CEX.IO platform.
To manage such permissions Client's sub-user should be registered on the CEX.IO platform, obtain the necessary address verification level, and CEX.IO userId.
User Management - is a place where the account owner can set the permissions for sub-user who manage the Client's account or perform actions on behalf of the Client.
If you want to find more information about available Settings, please take a look at the Settings page overview article.
Please note that there is a difference between sub-accounts and sub-users, sub-accounts are accounts that are available for trading for all sub-users who have permission to proceed with set types of actions.
For example, sub-accounts can be used for the allocation of funds to accounts.
Permission levels:
Read (will be enabled and can't be changed) - that permission is applicable when you give sub-user the permission only for observing purposes and for generating reports. Simultaneously, trading or funding options would not be available.
Trade - the sub-user who will have trade permission would be able to trade on the main or any of existing sub-accounts on behalf of the Client.
Important! Sub-users with only Trade permission wouldn't be able to transfer funds between CEX.IO Prime Liquidity accounts nor use transfers from CEX.IO Prime Liquidity to the CEX.IO platform.
Funds Internal - permission for sub-user to proceed with the internal transfers between CEX.IO Prime Liquidity accounts (main and sub-accounts).
Funds Wallet - permission for sub-user to manage the transfers between CEX.IO Prime Liquidity and CEX.IO platform.
Funds External - permission for sub-user to proceed with the external transfers (only via API as for now).
Please pay attention, that as for now, all external transfers are performed only from the CEX.IO platform. To perform the external transfer, please transfer funds to the CEX.IO platform first.
The sub-users set of permissions could consist of single permission, several permissions, or all permissions combined.
Please be aware that giving permissions to your sub-users has potential risks and CEX.IO Ecosystem doesn't take responsibility for any illegal actions committed by eligible sub-users.
Let's begin our User Management journey with the article on how to add a new sub-user to your account.
